The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County presents Fuel for the Fire, an art show featuring contemporary artists from around the US working with some of art’s most organic materials to create works of art that transcend their elements and captivate the viewer. In this juried show, artists explore and manipulate the materiality of wood and paper in two dimensional and sculptural forms, illustrating evolving techniques and aesthetics by highlighting the expressive capacity and growing sophistication of the materials.
Two of artist Jonah Ward’s works, where he uses molten glass to burn panels of wood, were selected to be a part of this show.
Sponsored by Lisa's Custom Framing. (Note: Special exhibition hours during September 4th Friday and International Folk Festival weekend)
